Welcome to Rolling Oaks Baptist Church

Feburary 2019
"Can You be New?"
Now we are in 2019, a new year for people all over the world. For many life will not change and will be more of what was going on in 2018. But for those who have made commitments to the Lord for life change(s), to these people 2019 represents a time of commitment and testing. It is the promises we make to God that will be greatly tested by our work place, family, friends, but mostly ourselves! This is why I ask the question, "Can you be new?" The Lord says you can and to not trust in yourself but in Him! The Bible tells us that we are battling against unseen forces that are of the spiritual realm. This makes us unqualified without our faith, to experience the "new" you. For the non-Christian it starts with believing in Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior. To the Christian, it starts with faith! The Lord says that a lot can be accomplished with the faith of a mustard seed, so can you imagine what can happen if we have an even greater faith! Some believe that they don't require any change in their life and that they are fine just the way they are, maybe, who am I to judge. But the Bible says that "for all have sinned and fall short of the glory." Our personal growth and development should be continual, never stopping. Consider this, if you worked for a high tech company and said, "you know I don't want to get any more certifications or upgrade my learning." How long would it be before you were behind in your field, I know high tech and it wouldn't take long! So never stop learning about the Lord and yourself in Him. Can you be new in 2019, sure, the Lord and I believe in you!
If you are looking for a place to worship where you will be loved and respected, come join with us for worship, bible studies, special studies, or whatever is on the schedule! We will love meeting you! As always, I welcome your comments and thoughts on this page and the website. You can reach me by cell/text at (210) 860-7611 or by email at job@robc-sa.org

As Christians we are told by Jesus Christ in Matthew 28:19-20, "Go you therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and the Son, and of the Holy Spirit. (20) Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you always, even unto the end of the world, Amen." Christian, you are a teacher too, so go out and do as the scriptures say, people are waiting for you!
Our website provides an insight into personality of ROBC. You and I know that it is best to visit a prospective church. So I invite you to be my guest and visit us at 6401 Wenzel Rd., San Antonio, TX 78233. Directions can be found on the Welcome/Directions section of this site. You can also call, text, or email me if you have questions at job@robc-sa.org or on my cell at (210) 860-7611.
