Welcome to Rolling Oaks Baptist Church

"Sometimes God Give Us What We Want PT.2"
Scripture: 1 Samuel 8:1-22
Today I finish my sermon, "Sometimes God Gives Us What We Want". Israel wanted a king like everyone else, and they got one! My question would be, "How did they feel about their king after a while...really?" How many times have you asked God for something or to do something? We ask thinking this is what is needed and that’s what we should get from God. But the question I have for you today is, “If God gives what we want, is there a guarantee of satisfaction?” How many times have children asked you for something, but you just knew that wasn’t what they really needed? Parents and grandparents know exactly what I’m talking about. Sometimes we challenge the wisdom of God when we don’t receive the requested thing. Is that good?
Proverbs 3:5-6 tells us to "Trust the Lord with all our heart and lean not on our own understanding. To acknowledge Him in all our ways and He would direct our path... This means we need to get our direction and method of getting there from the Lord, so are you ready to approach the Lord as to the direction for your soul, your family, your church for 2023? You have to GET INTO THE PRESS! Come and see what I mean in this coming Sunday worship service at 10:45 AM.
Come and join us at Rolling Oaks Baptist Church located at 6401 Wenzel Rd., San Antonio TX 78233. You can get a map to our church on this site.

As Christians we are told by Jesus Christ in Matthew 28:19-20, "Go you therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and the Son, and of the Holy Spirit. (20) Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you always, even unto the end of the world, Amen." Christian, you are a teacher too, so go out and do as the scriptures say, people are waiting for you!
