A Little About Us
Who We Are
Our Mission Statement
Rolling Oaks Baptist Church is a Christian community of faith which exists to lead people to salvation in Jesus Christ and mature believers in Him.
Rolling Oaks Baptist Church exists to make and mature followers of Christ. This involves FAITH: FELLOWSHIP teaching in the true meaning of fellowship, ADORING our Savior through praise and worship, INVOLVING all people in ministry, TRAINING members toward Christian ministry, and HARVESTING people for God's Kingdom.
Who are we?
We started out July 10, 1988 as a mission church sponsored by a church starting group of north side churches from the San Antonio Baptist Association. From a few people in a strip center to a powerful force for the Lord today with a dedicated church staff, a fully functioning church government, and a ever growing membership.
What are we like at ROBC?
We invite you to come and decide this for yourself! However, we are a friendly group of people who love the Lord and desire to come closer to God by our salvation in Jesus Christ and instruction by the Holy Spirit. As a church, we seek the Lords direction for all the ministries of the church. Our motto is "The Church of WHOSOEVER" because we want anyone and everyone to feel the love of God within this church family. We are very mission minded! We have assisted several churches here in San Antonio in their development, health, and growth. We have an outreach with our own missionaries and those of our state and national conventions. We even host a South American mission church right on our campus. You will also discover a church that loves kids and youth. We are invested in assisting them in discovering what it is that God wants from them and training them to that purpose. These youngsters may one day be guiding churches, so we want them to be strong biblical leaders! We host a Christian home school enrichment school on our campus that meets every Thursday called One Day Academy. You will also find a church that reaches out to the community by partnering with organizations like the Disabled American Veterans, the San Antonio Food Bank, and the Bexar County Constable Pct. 3 to name but a few. You will discover that we have many opportunities for spiritual growth no matter your age or situation of life.

Church Life at ROBC
We believe that in order to have a healthy church family, there needs to be a balance of evangelism, discipleship, worship, recreation, and fellowship. To accomplish this we have created Task Groups such as our Recreation Task Group provides the church with an overall plan of recreation including camp-outs, lake outings, picnics, sporting events/teams, contests, and more. Our Missions Committee provides opportunities for understanding local. state, national, and international missions. We also train Christians in evangelism and outreach. Our Church Education Division which includes our Sunday School department, ensures that we have an appropriate plan for Christian education and the materials for discipling Christians throughout the year.
Missions
You will read, hear, and see this a lot, "we are very mission minded at ROBC!" Our Missions Committee leads the church to actively understand missions and participate in mission action. Break-out ministries such as Taking It to the Streets, provide a means for everyone and anyone to obtain the experience of being on mission while being right here in San Antonio. Missions education many forms of missions education for people of all ages. ROBC continually provides short and long term mission opportunities. We even host a South American church on our site. Mission events, education and hands on mission work keep our hearts focused on reaching the lost for Christ.
